10 Steps to Improve Traffic Flow at Roosevelt

1. Walk
2. Ride your bike
3. Walk with a group
4. Walking School Bus
5. Carpool
6. Ride SamTrans (special bus route from McKinley/Washington to BIS – Route 46)
7. Get dropped off/picked up at a designated location not on the main road at school, like around the corner or down the street
8. Arrive 5 minutes after dismissal versus right at the dismissal bell
9. If you are riding in a car to school…
   1. follow the one-way direction counter-clockwise in front of the campus, with Vancouver flowing from Broadway to Carmelita (see map above)
   2. limit time in the white zone for unloading/loading only
   3. NEVER park in the white zone
   4. follow the traffic signs about turns out of the parking lot, if your school has a parking lot
